Federal Tribunals and Commissions
Federal Tribunals and Commissions are specialist bodies which are created by Acts of parliament to deal with particular areas of law. They are designed to operate alongside the court system. They are also designed to be cheaper and faster than the court system, as Tribunals and Commissions are generally not bound by rules of evidence. They deal with and make many important determinations regarding administrative decisions, employment issues, copyright, human rights, migration and other important federal areas of law.
Quinn Lawyers have had extensive experience representing people throughout the Federal Tribunal and Commission’s system in many different areas of the law. Our services in a Tribunal or Commission matter would include: preparing and submitting an application to the Tribunal or Commission, extensive preparation for your case, appearing at the Tribunal or Commission on your behalf, de-briefing with you after the hearing and other important steps.
